The purpose of the speculative attacks - an opportunity left open by EU officials and provincial governments - may be to turn around the Obama tide after all, making of Europe a "lesson" for American liberals, through the use of big banks, big corporations and rating agencies activities.
The monster may come out any time soon, as I am picking up all kinds of strange signals:
"What you are hearing is the sound of the other shoe dropping. The demographics and long-term growth prospects of those countries are flat or shrinking. Their welfare states are unsustainable. I hope that what we are about to see in Europe will cure those who wish the USA could be more European."
